Financial Systems Advisor - TM1

What you’ll be doing:

This is a Full-time Sydney or Brisbane based role, with flexibility to work from home.

The objective of the Financial Systems Advisor role is to support and maintain the TM1 application that our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team uses. You will work closely with the FP&A team to develop and streamline actual and forecast business performance reports, for the Virgin Australia Executive Leadership Team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain, review, and develop functionality within the TM1 applications, to meet business and finance processing and reporting requirements
  • Review, streamline and enhance the weekly and month-end processing and reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to drive innovation and best practice
  • Manage the cadence around the VAH Group forecasts and budget and project manage the flow of inputs into the TM1 model 
  • Assist the business in preparation and uploading of TM1 files for the forecast / budget process
  • Review and document the forecast/budget process and identify improvements
  • Provide support to FP&A by supporting TM1 applications and resolving issues and queries, troubleshooting
  • Manage security of financial information and improve information flows and security around data warehouse interfaces
  • Assist with remediation work required and prepare TM1 for migration to PA on Cloud
  • Undertake all other ad-hoc tasks as required in the support of the Finance systems including managing of Dev and Test environments, process execution, user administration, TM1 objects & user accounts, training and user monitoring & assistance 

Who we’re looking for:

Ideally, we are looking for someone that started off in Finance and has moved to managing a TM1 system, including writing TI processes and rules. 

  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Business, IT or similar
  • Experience in design, build, implementation, and support of IBM TM1/Planning Analytics solutions
  • High level of systems skills, including knowledge of SQL
  • Ability to write TI processes and rules in TM1
  • Knowledge of Accounting/ Finance is highly desirable.
