Hello. We’re Velocity Frequent Flyer, part of the Virgin Australia Group. And we’re back (in a big way).

As we ramp things up, we’re on the lookout a Partnerships Manager to join our fast-growing squads. You’ll be responsible for building and driving partnership relations for one of ‘Australia’s most loved loyalty programs. A program that’s currently 10 million members strong and counting. That’s half of Australia!

Who we’re looking for:

Someone keen to join an award-winning team and take one of ‘Australia’s most loved loyalty programs’ to the next level. A people person who’s results and data driven, one who knows how to make lasting stakeholder connections that grow a strong bottom line. Coupled with this you are passionate about financial services with a solid understanding of credit cards, payments and loyalty.  You are a real person who is detail oriented, with a strong business acumen and enjoys working within collaborative environments


What you’ll be doing:

Here you’ll get to work with a wide range of Financial Services partners to develop end to end campaigns and strategies that hit our commercial targets.

Additionally you will also;

  • Create unique and differentiated strategies for their individual partners.
  • Maintain strong partner relationships and demonstrate the value to partners.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders in Marketing, Operations, Finance and Data Analytics ensuring promotions are provided to Velocity members throughout the year
  • Take ownership and responsibility for defining, establishing, and delivering product and marketing initiatives aligned to strategies developed.
  • Play an active role in identifying new growth opportunities within the portfolio and with new partnership opportunities. 
  • Provide contract management support, including playing an active role in negotiations, ensuring that commercial terms are reviewed, managed, and maximised.
  • Support the team with setting budget targets, report on performance and manage all billing and reconciliation of partner


You’ll be great in this role if you have:

  • Direct account or partnership management experience either in an agency, commercial or loyalty role within a financial services environment
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen
  • The ability to build a business case to meet financial targets and gain senior stakeholder approval
  • Negotiation skills to navigate through stakeholder relationships and contracts
  • Focus on delivering enhanced experiences for our partners and members
  • An understanding of campaign management process and objectives
  • A solid understanding of data based direct marketing and CRM experience
  • Solid relationship management skills
  • An understanding of loyalty businesses and concepts
  • Experience in designing a campaign offer and work with stakeholders to find a fulfilment solution based off payment, loyalty or flight behaviour triggers
