What you’ll be doing:

We are looking for an Account Manager that will be responsible for the ongoing management of a portfolio of high value clients. You will also ensure that contract arrangements are managed to both the client and VARA (Virgin Australia Regional Airlines) expectations. The role is the primary point of contact for the respective client’s representatives, and is responsible for the proactive and timely communications, as well as resolution of contractual issues as they occur.

The Role:

  • Be part of a high performing team that delivers amazing service to our contracted charter clients.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that facilitate charter growth and short client retention.
  • Participate in Quarterly Contract Review meetings with our clients to review performance and identify opportunities that add value to our clients business.
  • Take ownership to develop and drive business improvement opportunities that are valued by our clients and create a competitive difference.
  • Build relationships at multiple levels within our with our clients business, and with our suppliers that partner with us to deliver outstanding value to our clients.
  • Manage client communications regarding flight disruption and recovery.
  • Be part of a team that develops and negotiates innovative charter bid solutions that delivers outstanding value to our clients.
  • Communicate at multiple levels internally and within our client organisations.
  • Analyse data and create engaging presentations that can be pitched to multiple organisational levels.

Who we’re looking for:

  • A person who has a passion for travel, aviation and delivering outstanding service 
  • Strategic Account Management experience with large value clients
  • Demonstrated ability to engage clients across a range of levels and build sustainable relationships
  • Contract management and interpretation experience
  • Experience working in aviation, or a mass transportation company is desirable
  • Experience analysing sales data and identifying opportunities
  • Team player that is willing to involve themselves in the operational side of the role when necessary
