Corporate Sales Manager

What you’ll be doing:

The objective of the Manager, Corporate Sales - East role is to be the strategic lead and provide commercial guidance to the Australia Eastern States (NSW/VIC/QLD/TAS) Corporate & Government Sales teams:

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the acquisition of new managed corporate business
  • Lead revenue & passenger share growth initiatives with existing corporate partners
  • Manage Cost of Sales on existing corporate contracts
  • Lead a high performing team of Corporate National Account Managers
  • Lead the development of systematic, data-led insights for the corporate sales teams, which will form the basis of strategic and tactical initiatives in market to secure improved revenue & passenger share outcomes
  • Develop and provide a consistent ROI format and calculation across sales for all activities in market
  • Lead the development of medium/long term strategy for Corporate East Region
  • Maintain and evolve the Virgin Australia Corporate Cost of Sale Dealing Models
  • Provide strategic guidance as to how Virgin optimises participation within the indirect sales channel Lead a portfolio of strategic East region acquisition accounts
  • Assist General Manager Sales and CCO with ad hoc projects and initiative

You’ll be great in this role if you have:

  • Strong people leadership skills, with previous experience leading and developing groups of leaders
  • Significant knowledge of contract negotiation and tender processes
  • High level of stakeholder engagement (internal and external)
  • Outstanding knowledge of NSW/QLD/VIC/TAS Corporate travel market
  • Ability to lead / coach a capable team of sales professionals
  • Ability to assess and develop opportunities to drive positive VA outcomes
  • Senior Management experience within the sales industry
  • Prior experience in developing detailed business plans that deliver positive ROI
  • Proven network of corporate & travel contacts and ability to build and develop strong relationships at an executive level
  • A track record of growing market share
  • Proven ability to grow / develop highly strategic sales team across States
