What you’ll be doing
As a Resource Officer, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management, planning and forecasting of resource levels to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of engineering maintenance, repair and overhaul services at both line and hangar locations. You’ll play a key role in supporting aircraft maintenance operational teams by managing rosters, coordinating travel and training, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning resource levels to meet work schedule commitments in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Monitoring resource availability and addressing shortfalls.
- Monitoring long term resourcing levels
- Liaising with Planning teams for ad-hoc resourcing requirements
- Managing leave applications, training schedules, and duty travel.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, security, and quality assurance standards.
- Creating and auditing rosters, payroll reports, and labour cost reports.
- Providing ad-hoc resource support and administrative coordination
You’ll be great in this role if you have…
- Strong organisational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in roster management and resource planning.
- Previous experience with UKG workforce platform
- Knowledge of enterprise agreements and ability to apply them effectively.
- Familiarity with business systems (e.g., Oracle) and reporting tools.
- A proactive approach to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
