About the role:

This primary purpose of this role is three fold:

  • process and extract insight from marketing and digital data
  • use this to maintain an accurate, holistic view of digital marketing performance and continually optimise our digital footprint, and
  • encourage a data-driven approach to marketing and digital decision making

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting exploratory, behavioural data analysis across VA’s digital properties
  • Leading the analytics and reporting for our CRM and personalisation activity
  • Creating the audiences and segments to whom we can deliver personalised content and experiences on- and offsite
  • Working closely with the digital media specialist to handle our paid media data and drive our performance marketing strategy
  • Working with agencies and internal partners to setup analytics tracking for digital properties and marketing channels

 About you:

The Digital Marketing Data Analyst should have a firm grasp of the MarTech landscape and the role that digital data plays in driving marketing outcomes.


  • Web analytics - Adobe Analytics experience advantageous
  • Strong communication skills - we need people who love data but can also explain what this data means, and how it can benefit the business
  • Experience in creating dynamic reporting dashboards and data visualisation
  • Multi-channel marketing measurement techniques and attribution
  • Complex data mining & manipulation
  • Advanced Excel 


  • Experience in Data Management platforms (DMPs) – Adobe Audience Manager experience advantageous
  • Tag management
  • Data mining/manipulation via SAS/SQL/R
  • Experience in Performance marketing channel management (SEM, Social, Display, Affiliates) and associated tools (GCM, SA360, FB Business Manager, DV360)
  • Experience in working with CRM data and/or customer segmentation and profiling
